Terms of service
These terms govern your use of BoxxTicket and form a binding agreement between you, the buyer or organiser, and BoxxTicket. They are written under the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

1. Who we are
“BoxxTicket”, “we”, “our” refers to the entity operating boxxticket.com from Accra, Ghana, providing event ticketing services to organisers and ticket buyers. BoxxTicket acts as an agent of the event organiser; the contract to attend an event is between you and the organiser, and BoxxTicket facilitates the sale, delivery and validation of the ticket.
2. Definitions
- Buyer — a natural person who purchases one or more tickets through the platform.
- Organiser — the legal person responsible for producing the event a ticket grants entry to.
- Ticket — the digital QR/RFID/NFC token issued by BoxxTicket on behalf of the organiser, granting entry to a named event subject to the organiser’s rules.
- Event — the live experience listed on the platform with a fixed start and end time at a specific venue.
- Service fee — the amount BoxxTicket charges per ticket sold, disclosed at checkout.
3. Eligibility
To purchase a ticket you must be 18 years of age or older, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms. Some events have additional age restrictions set by the organiser; the event listing will state them.
4. Account and accuracy of information
You must provide accurate name, email and phone details. The phone number receives ticket delivery via WhatsApp; a wrong number means you do not receive the ticket. We are not responsible for the consequences of inaccurate information you supply.
5. Pricing, payment and currency
All prices are quoted in Ghana Cedis (GHS) and include the organiser’s ticket price plus our service fee and any applicable government taxes (VAT, NHIL, GETFund, COVID Levy as published by the Ghana Revenue Authority). Payments are processed through Paystack and may be made by card, mobile money, or bank. BoxxTicket does not store full card or PIN details.
6. Ticket ownership and resale
A ticket is a personal, non-transferable licence to enter the event identified on it. Resale, trading, swapping or transferring tickets for profit is prohibited unless the organiser has explicitly enabled transfer for that event. Tickets that show signs of unauthorised resale will be voided without refund.
7. Refunds, cancellations and rescheduling
Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund policy. In summary: if an event is cancelled by the organiser, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket face value and the BoxxTicket service fee. Buyer-initiated refunds are at the organiser’s discretion.
8. Entry to events
The organiser controls entry conditions, including age limits, identity checks, dress code, and prohibited items. We may share your name, email or phone with the organiser solely for entry verification. The organiser’s decision at the door is final.
9. Ticket validation and security
Every ticket carries a cryptographic signature unique to its event. Counterfeit, duplicated, screen-shared or otherwise invalid tickets will be rejected at the gate. We log every scan attempt for anti-fraud purposes.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to defeat ticket signing, (b) probe the platform for vulnerabilities, (c) submit content that violates Ghanaian law, (d) impersonate another person, or (e) use automated tools to bulk-purchase tickets. Violations may result in voided tickets, refused future service, and report to the relevant authorities.
11. Liability
BoxxTicket is liable to you only for losses caused by our negligence or breach of these terms, capped at the amount you paid for the ticket in question. We are not liable for the organiser’s breach, force majeure, or third-party processing delays. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under Ghanaian law.
12. Privacy and data
Your personal data is processed under our Privacy policy in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
13. Electronic transactions
These terms, your account, and tickets are electronic records under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2008 (Act 772). Acceptance of these terms by clicking, tapping or proceeding to checkout constitutes a valid contract under sections 13–18 of that Act.
14. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes statutory consumer rights you have under Ghanaian law. Where an event is cancelled by the organiser, the right to a refund of the ticket face value cannot be waived.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal or regulatory changes. The current version will always be available at this URL with a “Last updated” date. Material changes are announced by email to registered users.
16. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. The courts of Accra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, save that we may pursue claims for ticket fraud or platform abuse in any competent jurisdiction.
